    Aim High for That Spy!

    If you're trying to headshot a disguised spy then you might want to aim a little higher than usual - check out the hitbox images below;

    Simply the result of outdated functions in the engine, the hitbox renderer (made back when the engine was being build) doesn't take into account changes in the model due to a spy disguising etc

    Are we sure it isn't deliberately like that? I mean, after all you are still a Spy. You don't actually change height/build, you just look as if you do to the enemy.

    the hitbox still changes, otherwise it would be unfair on snipers trying to kill spies, hitboxes are always intended to be on what the player can see, the command simply hasn't been updated to support showing the "disguised" hitbox, only showing the spy model hitbox which isn't used when disguised

    I can vouch for headshotting disguised spies on the normal model hitbox, so yeah while bob makes sense I would have to go with jim being correct.

    ya, what jim said is correct I'd say.
    The hitboxes shown by using that command aren't the same as those used by the server to calculate hits.

    Long story short the screenshots in the top post are wrong(in a way)


    Don't trust hitbox complaints/screens/videos, they're usually false (either on prupose or through ignorance/lack of understanding).
