With regards to the spam in the side huts, maybe a little hole at the bottom of the back wall (like a loose plank or a torn metal sheet) would be good as it would allow nades to pass through the hut and hence cut down the spam a bit.

Note that you can also rocket jump ON those side huts.
Maybe it's better if you couldn't.

    Re: koth_oilrig

First time playing this one last Friday. I agree with all that has been said above. Lowering the water, eliminating drop hole on point, re-working the spam house, clipping off the death pits near the spawn, etc. all seem like good ideas to me. I had a bit of a rough time playing engineer, as there are not too many options at the moment. Playing heavy was great. And judging from all of the rockets and bombs flying everywhere, I would judge that those were viable classes as well.

Could just be my penchant for height differences, but it might be fun to add a platform (or network of platforms) well above the CP on either side as well as a partial roof over the point itself. The roof will deflect some of the spam from above and below. The higher level also opens up some more options (particularly against those nasty heavies like Two Monkeys) at the risk of greater exposure to snipers.

    Just a thought.

You could do it with a walkway leading from the blue and red cubes leading to the roof of the white cube in the middle.
If you make it thin with only one railing and one of those wire mesh floors (no idea what they are called in english... or in german too to be honest) that are see through from beneath it will fit in with the overall industrial design and the parameters of SPHinxs idea: height advantage but high risk without much cover and high visibility

I approve of this idea. Also someone needs to message dustoxx on steam he seems to have forgotten about this thread.
