wasn't aware quick time executed code in quite the same way
lets hope it's a sign that adobe are going to start addressing fixes and vulnerabilities, and crash issues, with more regular vigour.

remote code execution, no matter how you dress it up isn't clever

I see.
I guess with security problems of their own to keep on top of, Apple have decided to limit the potential for further disruption from the main external offender. After all, they sell themselves on user experience. There's a big risk in that if you can't rely on software partners (with Flash being the documented biggest reason for online critical errors on OSX). Especially with their renewed focus on portable devices (not one mention of Mac computers at the recent WWDC keynote.
In any event. I hope Adobe have learned something here. They've always been slow to patch. They have been lazy when it comes to mobile optimisation and support. I'm sure that will improve now.
