on such a small corridor we have no worries to fight hordes of monsters, so lets continue to that mystical treasure chamber that lies in front of us!

Re: Choose Your Own Adventure: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

The narrow passageway eventually becomes too small for you to walk along. You get down on your hands and knees, and crawl. Eventually, you will get no further and there seems to be no way through, so you decide to return to the main passage. You head for the junction.

You arrive back at the junction and turn northwards.

Several metres up the passageway you arrive at a junction where you may turn either west or east. Set in the rock on the north wall is a small recess where you may rest and eat Provisions without being seen. Do you wish to eat and rest? Afterwards you may set off in either EASTWARDS or WESTWARDS.

You walk westwards along the passageway. After fifty metres or so, the way turns northwards. Two or three paces up the passage, you hear a crumbling beneath your feet and you try to leap back as the ground gives away. TEST YOUR LUCK. You rolled ten and have been lucky, you manage to leap quickly backwards before a pit opens. You better return to the junction.

You reach the junction and continue eastwards.

You follow the passage eastwards for several metres, then it turns to the north. Shortly you reach another junction where you may either go straight on or you may turn right, into an eastwards passage that soon turns north.

You turn back to find out that if you would try to jump over the pit you'll break your neck in the attempt. You go back to the junction and can go either STRAIGHT ON or you may TURN RIGHT, INTO AN EASTWARDS PASSAGE THAT SOON TURNS NORTH.

I suppose we don't have a levitation spell to get us over the pit?

I'm sure there are enough strange elements and wooden parts in the torture room with 2 dead goblins and a dwarf to make a bridge. What about going back, bringing it there and crafting a pit-traversing device?

Seems like we are only allowed to adventure, not to engineer... Rotate right 90 degrees, now go west!
