    Not sure if you saw this short video from the other night



    I'm loving this map having played about 8 rounds on the current version now. You already know about the dark ledge that has become a sentry nightmare but other than that (which does need fixing after the competition) the other issues seem relatively minor.
    The thing I take away from playing it is that, like all of the best TF2 maps, it rewards the team that plays together and doesn't penalise the n00b too much.
    I'd be more than happy to have it on the teamplay rotation (once that ledge gets fixed) and I really hope anyone who has a tf2maps account gets behind their fellow playstuffian by voting it thought the first round.

    I'm going to talk to Ravidge and ask him if I can fix that ledge in the contest version.

    Thanks for the support Grom, I'm really glad that you're enjoying the map, friends enjoyment is one of the main reasons that I make maps. It's an awesome feeling to be able to play enjoyable games with your mates in a space you created.

    We had a wicked game this night on the map! Solid gameplay and I like the visuals!





    some weird effect when teleporting to this exit. Not sure if map issue of valve's...

    You can see shadows through all walls with certain config settings...

    so may not be a map bug.

    yes, shadows can be seen through walls on multiple maps

    So, recent testing has discovered that your map has red blocking the cart issues. We've gotten mixed results. Sollys can block, medics can't, scouts sometimes can, etc.


    Also, people like your map.

    Thanks man, also what the actual fuck? Why on earth would some classes be able to block and others not? When I tested with bots scouts could block every time. Admittedly I didn't test with medics but I never imagined blocking would be a class specific thing.

    I'm not sure. I tested it as a medic, and it worked, Sel was trying and it didn't. Someone else was trying and it didn't (Demo or heavy, iirc). I ran checked with Solly, Scout and Medic and it was working fine.

    Is it even possible to filter by class in hammer? The fact that I even need to ask that makes me doubt it's something I could've done by accident. I wonder if it has something to do with specific locations rather than specific classes as that seems like a mistake I could've made much more easily.

    Perhaps more to do with the different size of each classes model...rather than the class itself.
    Maybe try different track positions...it's a weird one though

    I believe there are entities which allow you to filter by class, but you would have to be pretty damn special to set that up by accident. Also, if it's a location specific thing and not anything to do with classes, then I would presume that it would affect the attacking team as well as the defending team... However I can imagine that could have simply gone unnoticed.
    It might be worth having a run through on it with the trigger brushes visible, just to make sure that it's actually parented to the cart as you intend it to be, and has not slipped off somewhere.
    Other than that I would either suggest some faulty logic somewhere (however if you haven't touched it, then I would assume it would be fine) or you've set some sort of flag or parameter on the push trigger that might affect the number of players that can touch it... Or something. Here, clutch these straws for me, would you?

    I've done some streamlining of the logic for b2 so hopefully it won't be an issue in that version. I'll test it thoroughly before release this time, I promise.

    If that bug is still present in my current version then I may have to give someone else the vmf to error check.
