    Grids in CSS

For the record, this took me FOREVER to do. It's the first time I've ever used ems in CSS, and whilst they're amazingly awesome, they're a total bitch to get right! My maths is terrible anyway, so getting this correct took a lot of calculating and working out. Fortunately I think I've nailed the formula and now I'm in love with web typography

    Check it out!

Press alt+g to see the grid.

Have a peak at the source to see my annotations. By the way, you can get the grid system I used here: http://hashgrid.com/

Pre-emptive: I know it's just a pixel or 2 off, I'll fine-tune it tomorrow. I was just set on at least getting it to stay between the grid lines for tonight (+8 on the margin I think!)

    Re: Grids in CSS

Haha I've not tried it in any other browsers yet, it should be inter-compatible though!

I've moved the site to the lab anyway, did a little bit more work on it today: http://lab.suicidaltenants.net/grids/1.html

Edit: Tidied it up, the css still looks messy but oh well. Final revision now

    oooh interesting.

Web typography usually leaves a lot to be desired, nice to see that headway is being made.

    Re: Grids in CSS

On my actual site, I've pushed the grids so they align with the gridline rather than sitting between them. You can see it here

Grids are beautiful, it has to be said. I'm totally in love with them
