    Yep, that's the same guy - I saw him on the same tour. He's been away for a while and not put much out recently until his new one 'Colossus'.
    One of his videos featured a guy you'll recognise from a recent bank advert, Bill Shannon, who I did a blog post on last year.

    Have I mentioned before how awesome Eli 'Paperboy' Reed is?
    Saw him in a tiny club in Leeds the week before this video was shot and he blew me away - met him afterwards and is a thoroughly nice chap.
    Anyhow, he has a new album out in a couple of weeks (or available from the usual sources right now if you're too impatient to wwait but please buy it afterwards if you like it)

    I like these strange mixes:

    Not a music link, but as the site is honoring the originals, should be posted here

    Been in a Jazzy mood lately, and Moondog fulfills that greatly.

    A lot of people likely know the melody from Mr. Scruff:

    Bonus points to Laughing Man for posting some Moondog!
    If you've never heard of this fascinating man then do yourself a favour and do some research starting obviously with his wikipedia page where the first paragraph gives you just a hint of how odd this guy was;
    Moondog was the pseudonym of Louis Thomas Hardin (May 26, 1916 – September 8, 1999), a blind American composer, musician, poet, and inventor of several musical instruments. Moondog removed himself from society through his decision to make his home on the streets of New York for approximately twenty of the thirty years he spent in the city. He could be found on the streets of New York wearing clothes he had created based on his own interpretation of the Norse god Thor. Because of his unconventional outfits, he was known for much of his life as "The Viking of 6th Avenue"
    You might want to re-read that for the full effect

    After some wickedly jazz, it is time for a "did they really wore those clothes in the 80's?"-song

    Just discovered Little Dragon through the new Gorillaz album. I'm stunned. Yukimi Nagano's voice is absolutely beautiful

    Little Dragon brought this to mind for some reason

    Four Tet are one of the few to be able to remix a radiohead track and improve upon the original.
