North! It's the new West (and the old black)
Oh isee what happened....
you all listened to me (the guy who has been too busy to actually keep track)...
we walked south to a junction....i picked north (back the way we came)...and you all agreed.
So far we've:
- Refused to move because West wasn't an option
- Walked up and down the same stretch of corridor for no discernible reason
This game doesnt even require a maze to best us![]()

EDIT: we've been west and south already here...
time for NORTH
Indeed, UP we go!
Hey, you can type small, nearly invisible text under your post. (or invisible!) That's great! - I know neat trick isn't it ?

The Sero was heeeeereeee! (although he doesn't even know!) I think it's about time we got some orange text in this.
I like tomatoes That's true, dear Stranger!I almost forgot to post here. Huh? Someone say my name?
Can we plz go up ... I mean North
The passageway ahead runs northwards for some time. You may rest along the passage to eat provisions if you want to. It then bends to the west and begins to get quite narrow. You reach a small rocky arch which you will have to stoop to get through. On the other side of the arch you pause and look around. You are in a large cavern which disappears into distant blackness. The cavern is partially lit by natural light which streams in through a hole in the roof. You cannot see a way through.
As you shine your latern around the cavern, you hear a rumble. A dull glow flickers in the blackness. Suddenly, a jet of fire shoots from the depths of the cavern, narrowly missing you and singeing the mossy growths on the wall! You throw yourself on the ground and look up to see a large DRAGON stalking out of the darkness towards you. Smoke curls from its nostrils. Its scaly red skin glistens with an oily covering. The beast is some fifteen metres long! How wil you attack the creature?
Draw your sword and prepare to attack?
Search your memory for another means of attack?

Do we even have anything in our memory to kick a dragons ass ? If we choose that option will we still have time to draw our sword instead and fight the beastie or could we run away ?
Check Memory (as long as it aint gonna fet us killed) Then charge at it with our sword at the ready.
I assume using memory would involved having done something already, earlier in our quest (I don't recall learning anything about dragons though?)
Can we run away?
draw sword i suppose!
I go for sero's shrek tactic of making love to the dragon!
Burning Ice and Biting Flame!
You dont remember anything about dragons. Noone ever said there were dragons involved in this adventure?!
You draw your sword and head straight on.
Dragon skill 10 stamina 10
Player skill 12 stamina 15
Dragon rolls 6, we roll 4. Draw.
Dragon rolls 7, we roll 2. Dragon inflicts two damage.
Do you want to test your luck to prevent one damage?
(371)
yes test the damm luck, this is a tough fight and we need it.
luck test.
You roll 10. You got lucky. The dragon only manages to damage you for one hit point.
Dragon rolls 9, we roll 9, we inflict two damage.
Dragon rolls 6, we roll 6, we inflict two damage.
Dragon rolls 3, we roll 8, we inflict two damage.
Dragon rolls 11, we roll 10, we inflict two damage.
Dragon rolls 12. we roll 6, do you wish to test your luck to mitigate one damage?
Eh, people say this is a tough fight, it's not that bad surprisingly, we're better than the dragon. I say don't bother.

We can probably afford to take it right now and save luck for later in the fight since we had a good few rounds after the initial setback that dragon is going down. attack![]()
Who needs luck?
Dragon rolls 11, we roll 8, dragon inflicts two damage.
Dragon rolls 7, we roll 11, the dragon is now dead.
Safe for the moment, you investigate the cavern and find a passageway which continues to the west. You rest and eat Provisions before you continue, and we gain 3 luck for defeating the dragon.
You leave the cavern along a long narrow corridor. After several hundred metres, it ends at a large wooden door which is slightly ajar. Carefully you ease it open a little further and poke your head around the side to see what is in the room. You see a small old man sitting at a table on his own, playing with a grey pack of cards. He looks quite a harmless old soul, grey-haired and bearded. He is seated. What will you do:
Burst through the door, sword drawn, to suprise the old man?
Knock on the door and enter, greeting the old man courteously?
Get down on all fours and try to creep into the room unnoticed?
