I'm free for some CS;GO anytime soon.
Are we moving the server to a larger number? Latest patch allows up to 15v15.

If anyone cares, me and a few folks from TF2M are making CSGOMaps.net (CSGOM) ... The should hopefully be up within the next week or 2.
Basically, going to try and make a community with the quality of TF2M, but less meanie-faces. (Which no one should object to)
Sounds like a good idea, good luck with it!![]()
Got CS:GO yesterday ^_^
enjoyed playing CSS some time ago, so i'll be up for some GO action![]()
So, release date set at 21st August. CS:GO will be $15. Win.
edit: corrected date typo/brain fart

I'm reading August 21st at Rock Paper Shotgun. Either way, August is shaping up to be a great month with this and Dark Souls.

PCGamer is saying Aug 21st, $15, All platforms.

What's $15 in GBP when it comes to Steam games? About £10? I'm pretty amazed it's gonna be cheaper than CSS.
Only 2 months to find something resembling aim before the stats get reset!
When you think how often COD throws out games/content updates and they're usually 60 euro a pop.. That price is nuts.. I'd nearly perfer it to be more expensive or you will have the same twats hacking because the games so cheap they can just buy another one![]()

Valve know what they're doing. Their number one worry with F2P TF2 (and Dota2) was that the price barrier was the only barrier between people using hacks and the mainstream community. They are confident in their ability to handle the problem, and from what I've seen their confidence is pretty well placed. So I'm all for it.

Yeah, I too was scared about it when TF2 went F2P, but honestly, I saw more hackers that first week, and then it went right back to normal. It helps that we have server admin so can kick them I guess, which we'll also have for CSGO.

pretty concerned with the current state of (the competitive part of) the beta and the short time to release.
The game does not have the potential of a competitive scene like either 1.6 or css right now and needs a significant amount of changes.
We will see, but I've been doubtful of Hidden Path's abilities in counter-strike development for a while.
also hackers isn't a worry for me, there will be zblock plugins and x-ray applications for mixes and competitive games if/when it gets serious.

I agree with 3agle...I'm amazed at how many strange issues still exist given how long the beta has been going.
It can't possibly take that long to whip up a scoreboard compatible with more than 10 players?
It's the small things that'll make or break this game for long-time CS fans (and hitboxes)
