Kirsty MacColl RIP - it'll be the 9th anniversary of her death in a couple of days. Still can't believe her murderer got away absolutely scot-free. I met her a couple of times and she was one of the nicest people I've ever worked for - I've never met anyone who was so loved and respected by everyone she met. (I also fancied her something rotten even though she was a good 13 years older than me).

So bizarre. I've been singing this in my head all evening for some reason - then I return to my machine to see this thread alive and well in May. Grom's already posted it - but it's worth another go : I love this song all year round; It's such a delicious dollop of bitter sweet realism.

(actually, I prefer this classic if I had to chose my favourite Louis Armstrong Track, but it's more of an all year round favourite - improved only slightly by The Ramones.)
