Heading back home to oz for 3 weeks and it will be the first time back in 3 years.
Not looking forward to the flight but am to seeing family and friends and the wedding I will be attending. Also the weather, nice 25 - 30 degree days. Ill try not too feel sorry for you Northerners.

My favourite record label allows downloading of albums songs etc in DRM free FLAC formats. They are a little more expensive than the mp3 version but Iv'e no problems with that however WMP needs a bit of coaxing to play them.

I have a Blackberry Storm, yes it has its foibles, memory management omg, and is a bit lame next to the iPhone but it does work quite nicely for me.
The default browser is functional but that is all so I thought I would try an alternate and settled on Opera Mini 5 (beta 2). http://www.opera.com/mini/next/ It works on a lot of mobiles though I think it needs java.

After geting Debian working on the machine where Ubuntu was failing and not destroying it in in the 2 days I have been fiddling with it I have been toying with the idea of using it as a media server and PVR as it has a digital TV card, is quiet and reasonably power efficient to stay on most of the time. The Myth TV setup I will leave for another day.
I thought that even though I dont have a HDTV I would look into how a Bluray setup could be done on the machine now that the HD wars
